The (short) film to the novel

by Klaus N. Frick

February 26, 2004

Perry Rhodan is a series that features a long story - no, several stories. First there’s the storyline itself, the action that meanwhile covers three thousand years of narrative time as well as numerous detours into the past and the future. Then there’s the story of the creators - the many writers and artists who over the decades have contributed their ideas (and the fruits of their labor!) to our series.

And then there are the readers - many of whom have been around since the very first weekly issue published in September 1961, who have presented their ideas and registered their criticism in several ten thousands of letters, or who are moved to become active themselves and write their own stories, paint or draw, develop computer applications or craft model construction kits related to the series, found clubs, publish web sites - or create animations.

Kristel Sitz, Estonia’s most active Perry Rhodan fan, has chosen the latter. And we have enjoyed the results of her effort so much that we would like to present it to you concurrently with weekly issue 2219 - a flight to Shoz!
