Changes - and First-Day Glitches

Perry Rhodan weekly issue 2200 - about which we are very proud - is here, and those of you who have taken a close look at our sample reading or the advertisements have noticed a few changes to Perry Rhodan .

We have revised the logo and script box by modernizing and refreshing it with a 3-D effect, while the old “Erstauflage" (First Edition) caption has disappeared. Though we Perry Rhodan veterans have been familiar with this caption for many years, new readers have had a hard time with it. Starting with issue 2200 , we are replacing it with the name of the story cycle, together with an internal volume number. This helps clear up things for both veteran as well as new readers, and for those who might be curious about Perry Rhodan . And let’s be honest: Doesn’t “Sternenozean" (Stellar Ocean) sound much better than “Erstauflage"?

And while we were at it, we have also made another change: Starting with issue 2200 , the author of the respective novel will be named on the cover page - which really was overdue after 42 years of Perry Rhodan …

But what about the subtitles? Simply disappeared after 42 years? Not at all! We would not have gone that far. Instead, they have moved to page three. In our view, the perfect compromise between fond traditions and modern approaches.

Well, and that is when it happened. Since time immemorial, the words “... die größte Weltraumserie!" (…the greatest space series!) appeared on page three, words that everyone from the editor’s office to the printer just took for granted. Thus, what happened was that the place marker language from the draft of the new design remained in the final version of the sample reading and issues 2200 , 2201 , and 2202 . Here, by comparison, the correct subtitles:

Heft 2201 »Der Arkonidenjäger« Kantirans Flucht im Kristallimperium -
